Tops’l Farm is a farm retreat & campground in mid-coast Maine. We believe in the importance of stepping outside the hectic pace of day-to-day life and spending time in the woods with close friends and family.

We are excited to be hiring for a Social Media & Event Intern on our team for the busy season ahead.

We are seeking an entusiastic individual who can work independently (in a beautiful setting!) but is also keen to grow their marketing & event experience working on a great team of hard-working individuals. We believe in joyful work – creating sustainable schedules for those who want to help pitch in, while delivering on the magic that is our space. This individual must also have a desire to support the team as a whole with great communication, diligence in task and pride in the offering.  

Previous hospitality is a plus, but not required. Must be a social media whiz. We are looking for an individual who is looking to grow their experience in the hospitality marketing.

Key Marketing Responsibilities

• Moderate comments across social media profiles

• Utilize social media profiles to help propmote events

• Assist with social media analytics and reporting

• Develop a content calendar with strategies for creation

• Assist in loading/producing stories/creating social media graphics

• Help develop strategies for capturing target audience and current customers

• Help to organize & maintain content library
 

Key Event Responsibilities 

· Will independently work through a punch list of event tasks each week

· Will report to Event Manager during event times and provides an additional layer of support for the FOH team

· Maintains inventory of event items – is a great organizer, lover of order & systems

Work Specific Requirements: 

• Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized

• Ability to project prioritize and meet deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in marketing or related field of study

• Minimum over all GPA of 3.0

Hours

  • Part-time, minimum of 15 hours per week.

  • June - August

Compensation

  • Hourly wage, depending on experience

  • Opportunity for continued work into the school year
