Pack List
Before you visit us at Tops'l Farm for your Petite Pause, it's important to know what we provide and what you may want to bring with you.
You can always shoot us a note if you are unsure, but the list here should give you a good sense of it all.
Clothing
Depending on the time of year, it is usually a safe bet to pack for a variety of temps in Maine. Layers baby layers! Fleece, comfy pants and of course, some slip on shoes/boots and fuzzy socks for around the fire. With the sauana and hot tub on site, a swim suit or clothes you feel comfortable wearing for this, would be a great idea.
Food/Drink
We will be nurturing you with delicious food during your stay on the farm - we do believe our food is some of the best on the mid-coast. We source right here from our own gardens whenever possible and support a variety of local farmers and fisheries to cover the rest. Our approach to food is simple, humble and nourishing food with as many connections to Maine as possible.
Brunch & Dinner will be communal meals.
We do ask that you share any dietary needs well in advance of your arrival so our culinary team can prepare.
You are welcome to bring any snacks from home that might make your experience more comfortable.
Beverages! We offer a variety of options during our events - both alocoholic and non alcoholic. Each evening we will offer a welcome beverage on the house, after that you are welcome to start a tab for your stay that can be settled up after. Cash or credit card. You are welcome to purchase bottles at the bar to take to your lodging.
Towels/Sheets/Soap, etc.
Campground: We've got you covered here. All of our cabins are super comfortable and outfitted with the standard stuff you'd find available in a hotel room (bedding, pillows, towels, etc). The shower house has shampoo/conditioner, soap & rubber duckies. As we never can predict the weather or your comfort level with it, if it looks like it will be an especially chilly weekend, perhaps consider bringing an extra blanket!
Farmhouse/Cottage/Cider House: All linens, towels & toiletries are available - we do not have beach towels so if you are planning to head to the beach, please bring these from home.
Odds & Ends
Bring: Bug spray, headlamp or flashlight, snacks of choice, phone charger, water bottle (our water is potable), journal, those books you have been putting off reading for lack of time. Coolers are helpful for keeping things cold. Power for charging things is located in individual (lockable) cubbies in the bathhouse.
Expect: Noisy chipmunks, dirt, no-see-ums & good times. 30 year old sports equipment & quiet mornings. Fire pits with complimentary wood and room to breathe. Lots of space to find yourself.
